Jrneys Youth Group

JRneys is our youth group for junior high students (6th-8th grade). Aiming to strike a balance between fun and faith, the meetings alternate between playing games and exploring how faith relates to the many issues facing teens today. JRneys is open to all who wish to attend and honor the code of conduct.

JRneys is led by our Director of Youth Ministries, Mike Tilden. Meetings are held on the first, second and third Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. Non-members are welcome, so please bring a friend along.

DONUTS & DO SOMETHING

Check our events page for upcoming meetings

This has been a hard year for everyone but especially our high school students.  As a church community, we want to make sure we are here to support them in any way possible. Our faith grows when we walk alongside and connect with others.

If your high schooler flourishes in a small group setting, “Donuts & Do Something” is a great way to connect with others and get involved in the church community. All high school youth are invited to join Mike Tilden, Director of Youth MInistries and Pastor Katherine Willis Pershey for donuts, devotions, joys and concerns, and a small mission project.

Contact Mike Tilden at tilden@wscongo.org if you have questions.

Faith & Flow Yoga

Join us for all-levels Faith & Flow Yoga in the Chapel on Thursday afternoons at 2:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 4:00pm. The Thursday class is taught by Rev. Katherine Willis Pershey, and the Sunday class is taught by a rotation of certified teachers.

This one-hour class integrates teachings of yoga philosophy and Christian spirituality as the students are guided through a basic to moderate vinyasa sequence (a method of yoga in which movements form a flowing sequence in coordination with the breath).

Classes are open to individuals 13+. There is no charge for youth, and adults are encouraged to contribute $10/class to help cover program expenses.
Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and bring a mat if you have one; blocks, straps, and blankets will be provided.

If you have any questions regarding Faith & Flow Yoga or would like to be added to the Faith & Flow contact list, contact Katherine at katherine@wscongo.org.

Please note: People under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a program waiver. Click here to access the program waiver.

*Covid: All classes are virtual.
