Creation Sunday
Join us for a special Sunday of worship on April 19 at 8:45am and 10am as we celebrate the majesty of God’s creation and reflect on our shared call to care for the earth. We will recognize and give thanks for the outgoing Green Team leadership and include a time of faith reflection. In Sunday School children will make seed bombs to take home and plant in their own gardens – helping to grow beauty and care for God’s creation.
A representative from Growing Hope Globally will speak during our Moment for Mission. Growing Hope Globally is a Christian response to hunger. 700 million people in this world do not have enough to eat. 4 out of 5 of the world’s poor live in rural areas. Growing Hope Globally helps subsistence farmers grow their own food and earn an income. Climate change has only made things worse. George Rodgers will be sharing a Moment for Mission on Sunday, April 19. After the service donations will be accepted to help support Growing Hope Globally. Over the past more than 20 years First Congo has helped more than 15,000 people become food self-sufficient.
