Mother’s Day Packet Assembly
Sunday, March 8, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Light Court | First Congregational Church of Western Springs
Join us and our mission partner, Companions Journeying Together (CJT), for a meaningful morning of service as we assemble Mother’s Day packets for people who are incarcerated.
These packets provide writing materials that allow individuals to send notes to their mothers and loved ones — a simple yet powerful way to maintain connection, express gratitude, and strengthen family bonds across separation.
Why This Matters
Many incarcerated individuals lack access to basic materials needed to communicate with those who continue to support them. By preparing these packets together, we affirm dignity, nurture hope, and remind our neighbors behind walls that they are not forgotten.
This shared act of kindness reflects CJT’s commitment to walk alongside people both inside and outside prison walls with compassion, respect, and faithful presence.
