Please see below for a special message:

It is with great pleasure that I write to acknowledge your congregation’s efforts to become Accessible to All (A2A) certified. Your congregation has been approved for A2A certification by a vote of the UCC Disabilities Ministries (UCCDM) Board of Directors. We welcome your congregation to the A2A family of the United Church of Christ. We will update the listing on uccdm.org to include your church on the list of A2A churches.

Please continue to keep the UCCDM Board of Directors advised of your work to be fully inclusive.

The UCCDM has a Facebook page to which articles can be submitted. We are also forming a private group on Facebook for A2A congregations where information can be shared. We hope your congregation will become a part of this group.

The UCCDM Board is a volunteer organization. We look forward to partnering with you to the full extent of our capacity.

As the work of the Board has grown over the years, we have found it important to create a space for people with disabilities to be recognized as leaders within the church. To this end we have created the Virginia Kreyer Endowed Scholarship, which assists people with disabilities or mental health issues who have been called to authorized ministry. We also invite your congregation to support the newly created Fannie Lou Hamer scholarship, which supports disabled theologians of color. We encourage all A2A churches to take annual offerings to support one of these scholarships and /or the overall work of the UCCDM Board. Should you need fundraising brochures please let us know.

Congratulations again on achieving A2A certification! Thank you for your hard work moving forward, as you continue the process to make the Body of Christ

Accessible to All!

Sincerely,

Robin Stemple, A2A Committee Chair
