Thank you for indicating an interest in our church. We welcome you (and children of all ages) to come and get to know us by joining us for worship on Sunday morning or by attending one of our many open programs listed on our calendar or in our latest newsletter. If you would like to chat with a pastor about our theology or arrange for a visit/tour, please contact Jeannette Lloyd at or call her at 708.246-1900.

Becoming A Member

All guests are welcome to attend our New Member Orientation sessions to learn more about First Congregational Church of Western Springs.

During these sessions, offered quarterly, you have the opportunity to:

  • Get to know our pastors while learning about the history and beliefs of our congregation and denomination.

  • Hear about our church’s ministry and missions, and identify ways to connect with the life of the congregation.

  • Discover how membership at First Congo empowers us to become disciples of Christ.

The next orientation sessions will take place on Sunday, April 26th, at 10am and Thursday, April 30, at 7pm.  New members will be received on Sunday, May 3 at the 9am service.

Please check your calendar and register online or contact Jeannette Lloyd at or 708.246.1900 for more information.

We are delighted to unite couples in Christian matrimony. If you are interested in having your wedding here at our church, please email Beth Tracy at indicating your preferred dates/times and estimated number of guests.   After we hear from you, we will check availability of our facility (Chapel or Sanctuary) as well as with one of our pastors.  (We do not simply rent out our space. One of our three pastors will officiate or co-officiate your ceremony for you.)  We will also send you an information packet listing our pricing and policies for on-site weddings. And, we’ll go from there. Whether or not you are married here, we wish you every blessing and invite you to worship with us at any time.  (Please note:  weddings are not scheduled more than 12 months in advance, and members are given priority over non-members.)

Baptism is the outward and visible sign of the grace of God, and receiving this sacrament is the sign and seal of our identity as children of God, disciples of Christ, and members of the church.  Accordingly, we strongly encourage families seeking baptism to be (or intend to be) active members of our community of faith.  You are welcome to visit any Sunday to experience worship at First Congregational Church, and if you have specific questions about our church or beliefs, any of our pastors would be happy to meet with you.  Please contact Beth Tracy at for additional information or to schedule a baptism.
